I have some questions for the United States Congress: Is state-sponsored child abuse an impeachable offense, or not? Are massive human rights violations an impeachable offense, or not? More to the point, when human rights abuses come to light, are those responsible prosecuted for them, or not? Sadly, we already know the answers to these questions, don’t we? The answers are: No, no, and no again. If the people who ordered and carried out torture in the Bush Administration were not prosecuted, then we know there is no such thing as a widespread delusion called “rule of law”.
Look and see, the reports coming from the mass jailing of children by the United States government have revealed a horrifying pattern of child abuse that is certainly no accident. We can safely conclude that orders went out to do all of this on purpose. When we hear that older children were given heavy doses of sedatives and tranquilizers, we know that orders came down from high up the chain of command to do this. How do we know this? Because controlled substances require prescriptions and are monitored by the DEA. They can’t just run down to the corner drug store and buy that kind of medication off the shelf. Some doctors have prescribed this treatment and the medications were either released from government stockpiles or purchased in bulk from a distributor. But, orders, approval, and correct paperwork had to have been given to authorize it. Some Doctor Mengele within ICE knowingly approved it.
Children were kept in cages and not given proper care such as personal hygiene. This too we know was ordered by the government. Why and how? Again, nothing takes place without the government ordering it to be so. If the staff of these concentration camps were, for example, forbidden from even comforting these children, we know it had to have been someone high up in the government who forbade that. If no bathing was to be done, the government would have been the one to have said so. The conditions in these concentration camps are not unintentional. These are deliberate acts of cruelty and brutality committed by the orders of the United States government. Click To Tweet
Let’s revisit our original questions. If we are to believe that President Trump ordered the jailing of children, where is the immediate call to impeach him? If there is none, can we conclude child abuse by presidential order is not an impeachable offense? I fail to see how we can arrive at any other conclusion. Further along, if these acts are ordered by others within the United States government, where is in the Congressional investigation to find who gave those orders? I have not seen any such investigation, nor any other Congressional action to shut down these concentration camps. If anyone still wonders how Germany went so far down the rabbit hole in the 1930s, failing to stop the genocidal juggernaut it became, this is how.
We need to stop dancing around the issue and name it for what it is: pure evil. See, sometimes the United States likes to play silly games of nationalistic moral relativism, whereby it is justified in doing the same things it executed German and Japanese military officers for doing in World War Two. In those days’ waterboarding people was a war crime. Concentration camps were not just a war crime, but a crime against humanity. Jailing children was a crime against humanity. Keeping people in unhygienic and unsafe conditions was yet another one. All of this and more, the United States government has done. Yet, it claims to be following the law and doing these things for the “right reasons,” and the evil magically becomes good. Well, guess what? Those German and Japanese military officers claimed the same, but that didn’t gain them an innocent verdict in the end.
This is evil. The people ordering it are evil. Those participating in it have chosen to take part in evil and cannot claim innocence simply because it was their job. It was the job of a sergeant to dump the Zyklon-B into the gas chambers at Auschwitz. If your job involves taking part in child abuse, you are holding hands with the devil. Your paycheck is being signed by the devil. People used to be amused because Iranian ayatollahs called the United States “The Great Satan”. Guess what? They were right. There is only one way child abuse is ordered by the government: The government is evil.
Now, there may be some in Congress who say, “We don’t support that! Don’t condemn us for those actions!” Oh, but we should! You were elected to do what is right and represent the people, uphold the rule of law, and provide a check and balance against executive power. So where is it? How can you say to the American people you don’t support this when you have not taken action to stop this? “We don’t have the votes to stop it,” they’ll exclaim. So, what, you just gave up? You don’t even keep trying?
Furthermore, if Congress can’t muster enough votes to stop mass child abuse by the government, then the entire “checks and balances” thing is a supreme farce. Along with the actual Supreme Farce, oops, I mean, Supreme Court. If Congress can’t find those votes, Congress is evil and just as guilty. And, it now falls to the American people to do the job the Congress is tasked with doing. To what end, then, should we pay them salaries? They’re certainly not doing their jobs.
I suspect the Democrats are using this whole thing to try and generate votes for the 2018 and 2020 elections. But, to what purpose shall we elect more evil buffoons who will not only sweep the evil under the rug but stubbornly refuse to prosecute those responsible? Just as it happened with the Bush war criminals…and, look at that, one of them is now the head of the CIA! My word, the criminals who ordered the jailing of children will probably be rewarded for those actions too, when all is said and done. They’ll probably even brag about it, as Dick Cheney bragged about ordering his war crimes.
People say, “The government has stopped separating children from parents, though!” Oh? How do we know this for certain, considering they’ve actually lied us into cataclysmic wars in the recent past? Do we really trust the government to be telling us the truth about it? For all we know, they’re still doing it but secretly with ICE versions of Guantanamo and CIA “black site” secret prisons. Look how long it took for the existence of the abandoned Walmart concentration camps to be revealed. Not to mention, even if you keep the families together, you are still jailing and traumatizing children. Ultimately, I just don’t trust the government to tell the truth because they have been proven to be habitual liars. Additionally, there is no transparency in this whatsoever, so how can we even verify the reversal of the policy of separating children? We cannot without a UN human rights inspector to verify it.
The United States needs to shut up and take a whole stadium of seats as far as the rest of the world is concerned. The United States, again, plays this nationalistic moral relativism whereby it condemns other countries for allegedly doing what the United States government actually does. Here’s the United States government: “Hey, pay no attention to our concentration camps and human rights abuses! We heard from someone that you might be jailing people illegally!”
Understand this: We cannot rely upon Congress to do the right thing. They’re up to their eyeballs in evil right now. I don’t see how they can redeem themselves at this point because they’re so enmeshed in it. Even those opposed to it are in over the heads so much, they’re paralyzed from taking action. Many of them are busy wondering how much of their complicity will be revealed, negatively affecting the outcome of their 2018 elections. How much money did each of them take from the private prison corporations who created these McConcentration McCamps?
Money doesn’t talk: It silences; but, silence is just as evil because these people have placed their careers above stopping child abuse. Just like the staff of those concentration camps and those who ordered children jailed did. Congress is just following orders. And, following their corporate masters, I might add. We’re in the first stages of genocide right now. That’s what this is, ok? Stop fooling yourself into thinking, “It can’t happen here.” It can and it is. It is happening right now, in front of your face.
“They want us to be afraid. They want us to be afraid of leaving our homes. They want us to barricade our doors and hide our children. Their aim is to make us fear life itself! They want us to hate. They want us to hate ‘the other’. They want us to practice aggression and perfect antagonism. Their aim is to divide us all! They want us to be inhuman. They want us to throw out our kindness. They want us to bury our love and burn our hope. Their aim is to take all our light!
They think their bricked walls will separate us. They think their damned bombs will defeat us. They are so ignorant they don’t understand that my soul and your soul are old friends. They are so ignorant they don’t understand that when they cut you I bleed. They are so ignorant they don’t understand that we will never be afraid, we will never hate and we will never be silent for life is ours!” ― Kamand Kojouri
